Our Inclusive Churches

B3EBB9B5 D508 454C BFE3 F637E97EAD85 4 5005 c3Great Barton & Thurston Churches have issued our statement of inclusivity, following the results of the Living in Love and Faith consultation process that the Church of England had undertook. It's broad findings were that churches wanted a much greater welcome to be available to LGBT+ people, and that there was a broad desire to support same sex marriages, whilst being sensitive to those who disagreed.
Our churches here in Great Barton and Thurston echoed those feelings, and so we wanted to make our welcome of people from all heritages, abilities, genders AND sexualities clear. We won't always get things spot on, but we have the desire to learn along the way.
ALL are invited AND welcomed to join our church communities, which as well as learning about and worshipping the Creator God and Jesus Christ are communities of people who love and support one another, seeking to share our faith in the villages of Great Barton & Thurston through loving service to everyone.

The Churches of Great Barton and Thurston

are worshipping communities of inclusion, extending a welcome, acceptance and embrace to people of all heritage, abilities, genders AND sexualities. We understand that inclusivity is a lifelong learning process, and we continue to engage with the people in our changing communities in Great Barton and Thurston. Whoever you are, however you are, whatever you are - a lifelong Christian or someone nurturing the growing seeds of faith, you will find a warm welcome to our worshipping community and a space and place to be YOU.
